How we prepare content
Every sheet on this site has a title block with a revision date and, at the end, a list of technical sources. Here we explain what lies behind them.

Sources
We take technical data from manufacturers’ installation guides, technical data sheets and warranty conditions (for example KJG, Ruukki, Lindab, MASLEN, PREFA, RHEINZINK, VMZINC, Aurubis), from standards or publicly available quotations of them, and from legislation on Slov-Lex. Each source has an entry in the list with its publisher, version and the date we checked it. Where sources differ (for example on the minimum gutter fall), we give both and say which applies.
STN and EN standards are paid-for documents. Where we do not have the full text, we quote them through a manufacturer or a technical publication and say so.
Prices
- we give only prices that can be checked in a public price list or on a public portal,
- each one shows the source, the date or validity of the price list, and whether it includes VAT, as stated by the source,
- we label all prices as indicative, with the month and year,
- where we have no verifiable source (for example current material prices for window sills), we do not give a figure and explain what affects the price instead,
- prices are not an offer – we do not sell anything.
What we leave out
Figures we cannot back up: for example the service life of aluminium and stainless-steel components, snow and wind zones for individual towns, or firms’ response times. We do not publish lists of firms, ratings or testimonials.
Revision
The revision date in a sheet’s title block is the day we last went through the content and checked the sources. When a law, standard or price list changes, we update the sheet and move the date on.
Calculations
The calculators work according to the method given alongside each one (KJG nomogram, relationships from EN 12056-3, the ZOFI guide). They are aids for orientation, not a design. The values you enter stay in your browser and in the page address until you change them.
The English version
The English pages are an adaptation of the Slovak originals for English-speaking readers in Slovakia. They carry the same facts, figures and sources; where a source is only available in Slovak or Czech we say so. Where a Slovak term is what you will hear from a tradesperson or an office, we give it in brackets. If the two versions ever differ, the Slovak version was revised first and the English one will follow.
Corrections
If you find an error – a wrong figure, an out-of-date price list, a changed regulation – email us at dopyt@klampiarskevyrobky.sk with a link to the sheet and, ideally, to the source. We will make the correction on the relevant sheet, move the revision date on and, for a factual error (not a typo), note it briefly below the text. We have not yet made any factual corrections.
Technical sources
The sources this sheet draws on. We checked prices and values from standards on the date shown; for prices, whatever the source currently states always applies. Sources marked “in Slovak” or “in Czech” are only available in that language.
